The prep path, in order
- 1. Treat Architect – Foundations as your baseline, not an alternative.This exam assumes Foundations-level knowledge and goes further into production concerns. If you haven’t sat Architect – Foundations yet, work through that prep path first - Anthropic’s current prerequisites can change, so confirm the exact requirement in Partner Academy before you register.
- 2. Work through Partner Academy's Cloud & Enterprise track in full.This is where governance, security, and enterprise deployment content lives - the material that separates the Professional exam from Foundations. Browse all courses →
- 3. Build a production-shaped project, not a demo.Take a Cookbook example (RAG, agents, or tool use) from the official Cookbook and harden it: add evaluation, retries and fallbacks, cost monitoring, and access controls. That’s the skill this exam is actually checking for.
- 4. Study governance and RAG patterns in the core docs.Go back through the Claude docs and MCP docs specifically for retrieval architecture, permissions, and audit/logging patterns - the Professional-level content, not the introductory sections.
- 5. Study the official exam guide and blueprint.Confirm the current domain weighting and any prerequisite rules directly in the versioned Exam Guide inside Partner Academy - details here can shift release to release.
- 6. Practice with Partner Academy's course quizzes.No standalone public practice exam exists yet from Anthropic for this tier either; the graded course quizzes remain the closest official equivalent.
